Vincent Enyeama has declared that
Ethiopia lack the pedigree to halt Nigeria's quest to qualify for next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
The Super Eagles’ stand-in captain says the team is physically fit and mentally ready to take on whatever challenge the Walya
Antelopes of Ethiopia may bring to the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Saturday evening.
“We are 100 per cent fit and there is no way any team can deny us the World Cup ticket at this point in time,” Enyeama said.
“We may have made mistakes along the line, but the focus is total and we will get what we and Nigerians desire against Ethiopia.”
Enyeama comes into today’s game in impeccable form, having kept a clean sheet in 11 out of 13 games in the French Ligue 1.
The 31-year-old has kept consecutive clean sheets in his last eight games – the last time he conceded a goal was on September 15 when Lille OSC lost 2-0 to OGC Nice.
I think he is thinking of not conceeding a goal....
