ECOE-TALK; PERFECT SPELL TO COMMAND RESPECT (1).

Have you ever thought of walking, standing, on a podium or even doing the daily conversation thing, and you seeing people longing to see or hear more from you, even when you are done?.

Have you taught of people you don’t even know becoming expectant just from seeing you just from afar? And, why some people get into a gathering and steal the public attention?

Well you might have in one time thought about any of this, and even more related things, to even a height of you getting jealous of your friend who gets good attention when you both enter into a gathering, making you look irrelevant.

The big questions are what do they do to command such respect’, and ‘why don’t I command this authority

Hmmmmm… you do not need to go too far, I will hint on this part of the series, the respect you get at first sight.

Note: This is not for a particular gender, it’s for all…

First of all do you know RESPECT is an ATTITUDE, therefore for you to earn respect it needs to be in you (i.e. if you do not respect yourself you aren’t getting respect, brother and sister.)

Now that the attitude is established it now comes to how this attitude is exhibited.
How do you dress? What is your posture like?, This two things may sound funny and short, yet they go a long way to tell the  magnitude of respect you get on an on-looker at first sight.

We all know of “dress the way you want to be addressed” Yea; that saying is correct in terms of communication, but do you know someone dressed as a prostitute could get respect from her fellow folks, or rather like minded people, yet she might be booed by disciplined people, therefore I ask you “Whom do you want to respect you? What kind of respect do you want? and where do you want to get your respect?

Therefore the attitude you show in terms of your dressing means a lot, that is the first thing is to do, like I said earlier is to dress to your very taste, before going out… Then in public when you feel intimidated by other people carriage, then put the second attitude (posture).

Its all about you carrying yourself, some call it packaging but I prefer it to be called carriage.

There is more to be continued next week on this series, stay on for your firs grab on info...

FIFA Ranking: Eagles drop

Nigeria have slipped four places to 41st in the latest Fifa world rankings, released on Thursday.

The African champions are placed seventh on the continent, behind Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Algeria, Egypt, Cape Verde Islands and Mali. Globally, there is no change in the top 25 teams, with Spain still leading the way, followed by Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal. World Cup hosts Brazil are 10th.
The Super Eagles played two matches in the last ranking window, beating Ethiopia 2-1 before losing 2-1 to Mali in their African Nations Championship (Chan) opener on January 1. Stephen Keshi’s men defeated Mozambique 4-2 yesterday, and next face tournament hosts South Africa on Sunday.
Chan is an event reserved for footballers plying their trade in the country of their birth.

Muslim man receives 20 lashes by Sharia court for breaking anti-gay law

The trials are taking place in the country’s northern state of Bauchi. Jibrin Danlami Hassan, the commissioner of Bauchi state’s Sharia Commission, said the men were arrested by residents of Bauchi city. The BBC reports that a court in Bauchi city said it took into account that the defendant, arrested last month, committed the offence seven years ago, and claimed he was no longer involved in same-sex activity.
Along with 20 lashes, he was also ordered to pay a fine of around £18. The trial of two other men was adjourned until 23 January. Predominantly Muslim states in Nigeria introduced Sharia law, a legal system based on Islamic theory and philosophy of justice, in 2000. It sanctions severe physical penalties for violating its code.
There has been worldwide condemnation of Nigeria after the country’s President, Goodluck Jonathan, signed into law a draconian anti-gay bill. Anyone who enters into a same-sex marriage or civil union may be jailed for up to 14 years. The law also bans people who register, operate or participate in gay clubs, societies or organisations, or who publicly show that they are in a same-sex relationship. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon , US Secretary of State John Kerry and UK Foreign Secretary William Hague have all criticised President Jonathan’s decision. Same-sex relationships were already illegal in the country prior to the new law passing.

TB Joshua accuses Joy Fm of misinformation

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has responded to a report on Joy News Ghana which he said misrepresented his words on same-sex marriage.
In their interactive program, Joy News had interviewed members of the public about Joshua’s statement, focusing only, however, on his opening statement about avoiding judgment and condemnation.
They also clearly edited down Joshua’s full statement in their Facebook post calling for reaction from the public, a fact several of their readers noted and queried in online reactions. Via his Facebook Page, the Nigerian cleric stated that Joy News only broadcast half of his answer, thereby painting a different picture of his statement in the eyes of the Ghanaian public. He then went further to add clarity to his statement, which has been widely reported in online media across Africa, in lieu of Nigeria’s controversial ban of same-sex unions. “God hates sin, not sinners,” Joshua wrote.
“When I say, ‘Do not judge so that you will not be judged,’ I mean we should hate sin, not the sinner because sinners can change. If you have killed a sinner by judging him, there will be no opportunity for change.”
He identified spiritual issues as being paramount as opposed to physical. “Sinners can be delivered. We should hate the act, not the people because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the ‘spirit beings’ that cause all these acts.” Joshua originally had this to say about the controversial issue: "Judge not, so that you will not be judged (Matthew 7:1). We should talk to people to be saved and not to die. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation. The Bible is my standard. If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to. Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today. God bless the reader and the hearer.”
Nigeria has faced international backlash since Goodluck Jonathan signing the controversial law which includes long prison sentences for offenders but it has been positively received within the African nation itself and indeed across many African countries including Ghana.

Police Looking For Man Who Publicly Sexes Cheese

Police are looking for a man who has become known as “the Swiss Cheese Pervert.” Witnesses say he drives around without pants and asks women to pay him to watch him masturbate with cheese.
Several women have reported being approached by the “white, heavy set male” in the Philadelphia’s Mayfair area. Via the Independent: The man’s actions were brought to the attention of residents via the Mayfair TownWatch Facebook. “Good Morning Mayfair!” the Facebook user writes, “Please be aware of the Swiss Cheese Pervert! This individual is driving around surrounding communities and exposes himself to women. “He offers them money to watch him put swiss cheese on his privates. He is a white, heavy set male, 40-50 years old. He drives a newer model silver sedan. He was also spotted in a black newer model sedan.” It goes on to urge potential victims to not confront the man, but to note his car registration and call the police immediately. Upon further investigation, the Philadelphia Daily News discovered that the man allegedly has a profile on OKCupid where he advertises his fetish.
Woman in the area reportedly received a message from a man saying: “I started to compare girls to cheese due to their milky complections [sic], girls are soft, smooth feeling and tend to like dairy products more. That and typical advertising, always using a girl to advertise dairy products. So cheese is what I started to use as a replacement for having sex with girls.”

Man Sues Close Up Toothpaste After He Failed To seduce woman

“WHERE is the Close Up effect? I’ve been waiting for it for over seven years,”  Anthony Olatunfe. He’s using Unilever Nigeria Limited for failing to live up to the promise that brushing with Close Up toothpaste makes you irresistible to women.
“Right from my college to now in my office, no girl ever agreed to even go out for a tea or coffee with me, even though I’m sure they could smell my breath. I always brush my teeth with so much Close Up gel to make sure the girls get turned on by my fresh breath as they usually show on TV. “
“I had always stored them in cool and dry place, and kept them away from direct light or heat. I brushed my teeth morning and night. I did everything they instructed.
I even beat up my 5- year-old nephew for coming near my toothpaste, as they had instructed to keep away from children’s reach. And yet, when I tried to kiss my boss she slapped me.”

Lagos lawyer and rights activist, Barrister Festus Keyamo said : “Unilever might be tempted to argue that Anthony is too ugly to attract a girl, but it is very risky. There is no data to substantiate the supposition that unattractive and unintelligent men don’t attract women. In fact, some of the best-looking women have been known to date and marry absolutely unattractive guys. I’d suggest that the company settles this issue out of court.” Unilever has officially declined to comment on the case citing the subject to be sub judice.

Six Banks Maintain Market Dominance

The market share of the Nigerian banking industry remained largely dominated by six banks as at the end of June 2013, a report has revealed.
Although the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) “Financial Stability Report for June 2013,” that stated this did not disclose the identities of the six Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), they are expected to be among the eight banks that had been designated as Systemically Important Banks (SIBs).
The central bank had last year identified First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTBank), Zenith Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), Access Bank Plc, Skye Bank Plc, Ecobank Nigeria and Diamond Bank Plc as SIBs.
Continuing, the report posted on the central bank’s website at the weekend, showed that the average market share of assets and deposits of the six largest banks stood at 56.8 and 59.0 percent respectively.
In addition, it stated that the market share of the largest bank, with respect to assets and deposits, stood at 13.57 and 15.17 percent respectively, at the end of the review period, compared to the 14.99 and 13.47 percent respectively it was at the end of the preceding period of 2012. It however pointed out that the banking industry remained competitive in both deposits and assets as revealed by the respective Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) of 797.36 and 748.55 for total deposits and assets, compared to 790.66 and 741.43, respectively, in the preceding period.
The Nigerian banking sector continued to record improvements in key performance indicators. For instance, capital adequacy and tier I capital to risk-weighted assets ratios increased to 19.2 and 17.2 per cent at end- June 2013, from 18.1 and 16.1 percent, respectively, at end-December 2012.
The improvement in the ratios was due, mainly, to retained profits and the raising of additional tier II capital by some banks,” it added.

Furthermore, total loans increased to N8.814 trillion, from N8.150 trillion as at end- December 2012, reflecting an increase of N664 billion or 8.1 per cent at end-June 2013. Also, non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans deteriorated to 3.7 per cent at end-June 2013, from 3.5 per cent at end- December 2012.
The NPL ratio, however, remained within the five per cent threshold as at the end of June 2013. The NPL coverage ratio improved to 71.2 per cent at the end of June 2013, from 68.7 percent as at the end of December 2012, indicating a reduction in the risk exposure of the sector. Also, total deposits increased to N15.157 trillion as at the review period, from N14.386 trillion as at the end of December 2012, reflecting an increase of N771 billion or 5.35 per cent.
The report also revealed that during the review period, the CBN executed an MoU with the Bank of Tanzania, and was in discussions with the central bank of Sudan and the Swiss Financial Market Authority with the aim of executing MoUs on supervision and information sharing.
Also, the CBN continued its collaboration with regulatory authorities in the sub-region towards the harmonisation of supervisory standards in West Africa.
At end-June 2013, 10 banks had complied with the requirement for divestment from non-banking activities, in line with the Regulation on the Scope of Banking Activities and Ancillary Matters. Six of the compliant banks were issued with commercial banking licences, while four were being considered for the issuance of licences.
Three other banks opted for a holding company structure and were granted approval to restructure their operations. At end-June 2013, two of the three banks had fully complied with the provisions of the regulation and were granted holding company licences as other financial institutions, while the third bank was granted an extension of the deadline for compliance. However, seven other banks were yet to fully comply,” it added.

"EAGLES WILL BOUNCE BACK" KESHI

Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi says he believes that his wards have received the baptism of fire in their Group A opening match against Mali on Saturday in Cape Town and will bounce back to ensure qualification for the next round of the tournament.
Speaking at the post match conference, Keshi admitted that the players were desperate not only to convince himself and the technical crew of their potentials but majority of Nigerians and the world that they could be part of the World Cup party.
The pressure was massive and I expected this type of happening but I am certain that they now know that they have to satisfy themselves and have confidence in themselves, because we have lost the opening game and we have to forget that and fight for qualification from the remaining two games. He said most of the players were playing at the big stage for the first time and it showed in the manner they played, adding that he has been talking to them and he was sure that the result will show in the second game. On why the team played better in the second half than the first, the reigning African Coach of The Year, said he simply told them during the interval to loosen up and enjoy their game instead of trying to impress the coach, the fans, the nation and even scouts.
“The team will definitely get better”, Keshi assured after Mali’s shock 2-1 win over the Super Eagles on Saturday. On the players’ part, defence Trojan, Azubuike Egwuekwe who held his own in the face of misfiring mates and winger Ejike Uzoenyi who was also impressive, said they have been talking to their teammates to wake up to the reality of playing at the big stage.
We didn’t play well at all today and we all know it but we have decided that we will come back stronger and better. I plead with Nigerians to give us another opportunity, “Egwuekwe said. Uzoenyi on his part said experience counted aplenty in the game against Mali but assured that all hopes are not lost.

Wishing you the verry best of luck...

DANGOTE TO LAUNCH 5 NEW CEMENT PLANTS IN 2014

Five cement plants will be completed across Africa by the Dangote Group this year, the company’s President and Chief Executive, Aliko Dangote, has said. The plants now at various stages of construction will add about 13.5million metric tons (mmt) of cement per annum to the existing capacity, when completed later this year.
Addressing a group of African businessmen in his office at the weekend, Dangote said the group’s core business focus is to provide local value-added products and services that meet the basic needs of the populace through construction and operation of large-scale manufacturing facilities across Africa.

The ongoing plant projects are Zambia, 1.5mmtpa; Tanzania, 1.5mmtpa; South-Africa, three mmtpa; Republic of Congo, 1.5mmtpa; and Gabon 1.5mmtpa, Dangote said. Back home in Nigeria, he said the company is already working on additional third and fourth production lines to the existing six mmtpa in Ibese, Ogun State to bring the total capacity to 12mmtpa and another three mmtpa line currently being added to the Obajana cement plant in Kogi State.
Dangote said the companies are focused on building local manufacturing to generate employment, prevent capital flight and provide locally produced goods for the people.
He disclosed that presently, Obajana is the largest cement plant in sub-Saharan Africa with a capacity of 10.25mmtpa and an additional 3mmpa planned before the end of this year. Dangote stated that the group would continue to lead other investors to ensure Nigeria becomes an industrial giant that is self- sufficient in production rather than being a leader in importations. Stressing on the need for investments in the real sector, he said: “This indeed, shows that Africa is gradually taking its destiny in its own hands rather than wait for investors from outside Africa. Investment in the real sector of the economy is the only way that our continent can achieve the much desired accelerated growth and development that we have yearned for.” The developmental challenges of Africa are quite tremendous. According to a report by the McKinsey Global Institute issued in June 2010, Africa requires at least $46 billion in spending annually to meet infrastructural needs.

It is obvious that African governments alone cannot hope to meet this demand due to the various competing needs in other aspects of the economy.

Hmmmm! Another Amaechi's Aide Resigns

Another aide of Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Chief Azubuike Nmerukini on Thursday resigned his appointment as the chairman of the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission (RSLGSC), thereby bringing to three the number of the governor's aides that have resigned their appointment since the political crisis began in the state.
The first among the governor's aide to resign was the Special Adviser on Flood Control, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, who left because of the anti-Amaechi position of his fatherhood, Prince Emma Anyanwu, and followed by the Commissioner for Urban Development, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, who left following the governor's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Although Nmerukini, who is the immediate past Mayor of Port Harcourt City, told journalists in the state capital, that his resignation was based on personal reasons, but it was gathered that he was forced to go following his refusal to join Amaechi to the APC.

The question am i keep askin is "do this polititians think of the masses at all?.
