PFN chairman predicts danger, warns Imoke, Amaechi, others

The Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Cross River State chapter, Bishop Emmah Isong, has predicted danger for Nigeria in 2014.

He however, called for fervent prayers by churches and inspired spiritual leaders to avert the danger lurking ahead of the 2015 general elections.

Isong also warned Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State; his Rivers and Ondo counterparts, Rotimi Amaechi and Olusegun Mimiko; Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, among other prominent politicians to tread cautiously in 2014.

The Bishop, who is the General Overseer of Christian Central Chapel International, said Nigerians should pray fervently against civil unrest, political killings, violent clashes, upsurge in cult-related activities, satanically organised crimes and the truncating of our the nation’s democracy as well as natural disasters across the world.

The PFN chairman, who made these predictions on Wednesday, said there might be light at the end of the tunnel despite the challenges that would play out.

He said, “Nigeria’s centenary celebration shall be celebrated with fears but God says he will shake our leaders but not our nation.
“2014 shall not be by power or by might especially to politicians with vaulting ambitions who don’t seek the will of God. Many great men shall be disappointed in 2014.
“Pray for Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. 2014 is not a wonderful year for her political life as she will be faced with tackle and controversies this year
“Some state governors will be pronounced absent. It means some state governors you see this year may not last till 2015. Governor Amaechi of Rivers State will be heavily intimidated the more but at the end he will triumph against a generation while Ondo state shall go through storm but the governor shall refuse to succumb to the powers-that-be.
“Governor Liyel Imoke should watch his relationship with Mr. President as political jobbers may not portray him in good light just as he will experience massive saboteur and betrayals by his kinsmen and home town. His last year in office shall be his best year”.
On the economy, Isong said “another adjustment in the petroleum pump price will encounter massive reaction and public resistance especially by the marketers.”
