RCCG assures on traffic control

THE Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, yesterday announced its preparedness to host millions of participants from different parts of
the world with effect from Monday for this year’s Holy Ghost Congress with the assurance that parking lots have been expanded to guarantee free flow of traffic along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Addressing religious correspondents at the Redemption Camp on preparations that have
been made for a hitch-free congress, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, said there will be no need for anyone to park his vehicle by the expressway.
Pastor Odesola also used the occasion to debunk claims making the rounds that any traffic mayhem along the Lagos-Ibadan
Expressway was caused by one activity or the other by the church.
He said the church, over the years, had crea-ted sufficient parking lots within the camp for the use of the ever-growing number of participants.
He said the church had deployed church volunteers to comple-ment the efforts of a de-tachment of Policemen, Federal Road Safety
operatives and other para-military operatives drawn from Ogun State and neighbouring states to control traffic.
