Hatem Aqel scored the only goal of the game from the spot in the 43rd minute, after Christian Obiozor was controversially adjudged to have fouled Yousef.
The result ended Nigeria's four game unbeaten streak after enjoying four straight victories
over South Africa, Malawi, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
Nigeria failed to score despite dominating possession, with the likes of Obiozor and Sunday Mba missing chances to put Nigeria
ahead. Ugonna Uzochukwu also came close to scoring with a free-kick on the half-hour mark.
The introduction of the attacking trio of Ifeanyi Edeh, Barnabas Imenger and Christian Pyagbara in the second half failed to introduce the much needed spark, as Jordan
were unlucky not to extend their lead after Chadli’s header from a corner-kick hit the crossbar.
The game was, however, a good test for the home-based Super Eagles as they prepare for
the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
