Genevieve Nnaji dazzles at Toronto Int’l film festival

…as NFVCB takes Road show to Canada… Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji posed for the cameras in a white jumpsuit by Nigerian designer Andrea Iyamah, during the premiere of ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’ by The Orange Prize- winning author, Chimamanda Adichie at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival, in Canada.
She was spotted alongside Thandie Newton,
Anika Noni Rose, Chiwetel Ejiofor and John
Boyega among others, at the Winter Garden
Theatre.

The controversial film will make its African
debut as the opening movie of the 3rd Africa
International Film Festival holding in Tinapa,
Calabar, Cross River State from November 10
through 17. (AFRIFF).
The Toronto International Film Festival ends on
September 15. Director of the film, Biyi
Bandele disclosed that the film has been
selected to open the Trinidad and Tobago Film
Festival, which opens on September 17. He
hinted that the Nigerian premiere would be at
the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF),
which holds in Calabar from November 10.
At the festival, NFVCB set up an event using
the platform of its International Roadshow to
interact and support the bold initiative by the
producers of the film. The event was graced by
Nigeria High Commissioner to Canada, His
Excellency Chief Ojo Maduekwe (CFR).
‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ was announced on July
23 of this year as one of the films on the
official selection of TIFF, the largest film
festival in North America and probably the
most influential of all the festivals.
