Renowned Jamaican artist, Andre Sutherland popularly known as ‘Popcaan’ will ‘invade’ the city of Nairobi, Kenya for a concert this
Christmas season.
Popcaan, who was expected to be in Kenya for last year’s New Year eve groove but failed to show up, took to Facebook and twitter where
he gave Kenyans his word: ‘Kenya you ready for a concert? How December stay? He tweeted on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
The 22-year-old dancehall deejay/musician was first recognized by Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel in 2007 and since then, has been with
‘Portmore Empire group’ .
In 2011, Popcaan received the Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) Award for
‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Collaboration of the Year’ with Vybz Kartel and Gaza Slim.
